I posted about wanting to swap out the 6000k xhp35 hi in this m300 two years ago. I finally got around to it yesterday, replaced the xhp35 hi with a 3000k xhp35.2 hi. The swap went well, but when I turned it on the hotspot was blue. I tried to capture it in the photos, it’s more visible in person.
I thought it was the led, but it was pointed out to me that the culprit might be the gasket. I sanded it down hoping to give it a smaller footprint on the beam. It didnt help much, removing the gasket entirely got rid of the blue. Without the gasket the reflector has no support and is badly off center though. I measured the base of the reflector and ordered two different gaskets from convoy. I hope one of them will improve the hotspot.
