The Texas State Surplus Store in Austin is where all of the items confiscated by the TSA at the airport wind up. They also have things like housewares (from estate foreclosures), random construction stuff, and govt vehicles for sale. They have a pretty phenomenal selection of SAKs and Multi-Tools — as well as a TON of other cool EDC stuff. Definitely worth a trip if you’re on the area.
My Leatherman Wave+ has zero wear. No rust. The thing looks and feels BRAND NEW… $120 value. And the box sheath is from American Bench Craft… you can usually find the sheaths on sale for $30. So basically $150 item for $30 — an 80% savings. Not too shabby.
