So, I just purchased a Spyderco Pacific Salt 2 in LC200N. Ignoring the neon green color, it’s a great little knife. However, I was under the impression that Spyderco’s Salt line featured a “+” shaped “bushing” or some sort of metal, blade-to-scale interface: The “+” shape, rather than a typical circular bushing, would be to better allow sand and debris to be washed out of the hinge. I now realize all of the Salt line forgo bushings for reliability, but is there another knife that has the aforementioned feature? I had to have seen that somewhere, I know my mind didn’t just fabricate all that.

Their salt and LW does not use washers on plastic to metal contact of the blade. Their LW para3 has a partial liner on one side that has one washers iirc.
I have never heard or seen a + shaped bushing before. No idea what that’s about.

Never heard of such a design on the salt series.

When you say “bushing”, do you mean “washer”? Pivot bushings are concentric with the inner pivot barrel, whereas washers provide the support you’re referring to.
