One of the uses for flashlights around my house is to check for snakes, as we have plenty of birds and other animals which attracts pythons and cobras. Some of our birds have been killed and recently a dog also passed due to cobra bites, so they’re definitely an active threat that we’re dealing with.

This morning another cobra decided to show up right in the gutter of one of our dog’s kennel, thankfully the dog didn’t attempt to engage the snake and just keep barking at it from a distance and alerted us to it.

When I approached the snake, it turned and went back into the gutter. The video was captured by using a IF24 pro which is my EDC, so having a decent amount of throw does help to see down the length of the gutter to observe what the snake was doing while the firemen came.

You don’t need a flashlight for that. You need a flame thrower.
