A collection of budget knives and used Leathermans I got for great prices
I got these for:
– $28 before shipping for the used Skeletool – $36 before shipping for the used Wave – $22 before shipping for the used Squirt – $14 before shipping for the used Micra – $25 new for the Harbor Freight Gordon Buck 119 clone – $10 new for the Ozark Trail knife
For a total of $135.
Obviously, used tools are not completely comparable to new tools, and obviously, knockoffs are not replacements for the original things they’re copying …………. but, if we *did* compare these prices to how much it would cost to buy the real version of each of these things new, as of 30 Sept 2024, it’d be …
– $75 for the Skeletool new – $120 for the Wave new – $50 for the Micra new – $50 for the Squirt on Ebay, which is the only place you can get it – $75 for a new Buck 119 – $180 for a new Benchmade Bugout
For a total of $550.
Again, obviously, I’m just totaling that up for fun. An Ozark Trail knife is made out of worse steel than a Bugout, and won’t last as long. I just think it’s enjoyable to bargain hunt and maximize bang-for-buck.
