Something I’ve been doing on flights recently is wearing a lanyard like you’d use for a work or convention badge and clipping some of the crap that would normally end up in my pockets to that.
I’ll have my small flashlight, Victorinox Jettsetter, iPods case, and ear plug case all hanging around my neck. It makes it easy to get to those items while in the cramped seats and your tray table is down.
It also makes it really easy to put everything into my carry-on before going through security.
It can look a little stupid but I normally wear a zip up hoodie when I fly so the load of junk I’m wearing around my neck isn’t usually just swinging free.
