Got a package today, it was the Convoy S2+ Circuit board titanium and T3 glossy titanium models. Both sporting a Nichia 519a 4000K emitters and bananapeel reflectors.

Will get some proper beamshots later, currently charging the batteries. Tested the T3 quick and man do I understand the high CRI / tint game now, also size, bigger is not always better, love the T3 size already and that it can run both AA and 14500 batteries.
The 4000K may be a favourite, looks extremely crisp and gentle with true colors.
Though I find the engineering of the SST-70 in my Fenix PD36 TAC more when it comes to the actual emitter, what the 519a puts out is absolutely stunning, kudos.

The circuit board is a rare sight, and the pattern has an interesting colorshift effect, I was however looking for a glossy titanium S2+ with metal button but Simon confirmed he used rubber on these for easy modding later on, thats why I took a shot at the Circuit, and I am aware you can buy addon metal button to do the mod yourself.

The metal button is satisfying! Feels well made and its slightly smoother on the T3 than the S2+, could be a variation detail or simply the internal differences on the bottom housing.

Got the T3 with some standard 12 group, S2+ with a 12 group 5amp buck.

From the initial all around feel of these, I much prefer the tiny T3, will definitely get more of this and rechargeable batteries, the size is perfect for EDC, looks and feels amazing.

Kudos to Simon, his crew if any and Convoy as a whole.

And the 3rd wheeler PD36 TAC is an absolute beast flashlight too, love the mechanical lockout, love the overall build quality, even like that it has slight green tint at times on lower levels, gives me a matrix look and feel. Though I sometimes really prefer the old school halogen in my 4D maglite. 😅
