A bunch of stuff decided to land at my front door today! Some initial observations:

Convoy 3x21D SBT90.2 – Huge light, amazing beam, heats up as much as the reviews say but sustains it’s brightness for quite some time as a result. Really needs the handle as the body gets way too hot to hold comfortably. I expected it to be front heavy, but with the handle, the balance is actually pretty good.

Convoy M21D CULPM1.TG – Contemplated between this host and the L21A/B for this particular emitter for the longest time, decided on this as I figured I already have the 3x21D as a massive thrower anyway. USB-charging and side switch is also a factor when choosing this, although the switch response on this host isn’t as nice as other convoy I have.

Sofirn Q8 Pro XHP 50.2 5000k – Boy this thing puts out lumens, but I needed to set the temperature threshold higher so that turbo has someone of a usable duration, otherwise at default settings, it drops brightness within 10 seconds of activation, which doesn’t make sense as the light barely gets warm at that point. Properly configured, it does get toasty though as expected.

Sofirn IF22A SFT 6500k – Got this because it’s silver in color, that’s about it, it’s bigger than I expected though.

Sofirn IF25A SST 4000k – Got this to add to my quad emitter collection, plus the price was pretty affordable after all the discounts.

Lumintop Ring King – I though this would be smaller from the looks of it plus the use of a 14500, was planning to EDC it in my crossbody, but probably leave it as a collection item instead. Tritium tubes are fun to see in the dark though.

Lumintop silverfox – Not a fan of the interface, I though the twist to turn on was a separate switch, didn’t realize it meant literally unscrewing the battery tube lose and tightening it again to turn on/off and change settings. Strong magnet and the silver color is gorgeous though, definitely catches the eye when used as an accessory.

Opple Light Master 4 – considering my growing collection, I figured I’d probably need to start measuring the differences between them at some point, plus I might be able to use this for my video production work as a basic reference point for balancing lights on set.

Nice haul! I need to try one of the convoy 3×21! And I really should get the 650 tube for the if22.

I love xhp50! Great all around wall of light. Some of my favorites are single emitter xhp50 with a nice 21700. Just so useful! Of course 4 of them gets into that mini-sun category!

Not familiar with the silverfox- I’ll look it up! Twisting the battery tube in lieu of a button just seems unnatural😆

    Well done sir! ☀️🔦🤙
